How it works
Two ways in, and what happens at each step.
AfterRaise is a public record of what companies do after they raise. Companies own their page. Everyone else can offer something specific to a company whose moment they understand. You can read all of it without an account, and we never wall browsing.
Track one
Claim your company page
Six steps, about five minutes. It is free, and it stays free.
- 1
Find your room
Search your company name, or go straight to afterraise.com/company/your-company/. Every company we hold has a room already, built from the public funding announcement and linked back to the source we read it from. You do not need an account to look.
- 2
Check what we got right, and what is missing
Near the bottom of the room, under "Work here?", we list exactly what our record is missing for you: your website, what the round is for in your own words, the roles you have open, who leads the team. That list is the whole job.
- 3
Press Claim this company
It opens a short form. Your company name and website are filled in from what we already hold, so most of it is confirming rather than typing.
- 4
Use your work email
A personal address cannot verify a claim, so the form refuses free mail providers. We compare your email domain against the company website as a review signal. It is a signal, never an automatic approval: a person still looks.
- 5
Tell us what to fix, and who may approach you
You can correct anything, add what the round is for, and set your approach preferences: advisers, service providers, talent, partners, recruiters, media. A category you decline is hidden in the interface AND refused by the server, so nobody can route around it.
- 6
What happens next, honestly
Right now a real person reviews the claim and applies your corrections to the room, usually within a day. Company logins are built but not switched on yet. When they open, the claim you have already made becomes your account, and you edit the room yourself, publish Moves and Opportunities, and read the offers being held for you. We will email you when that happens.
Track two
Offer help to a company that just raised
Six steps, about two minutes. No account needed to send your first one.
- 1
Find a company whose moment you understand
The Growth Feed shows companies that have just raised, newest first, with what the round is for. You can filter by market, or open Opportunities to see roles those companies have open right now. No account is needed to browse any of it.
- 2
Read what the company actually said
Every funding Move carries an Observed chip and links to the announcement it came from. Read the source before you write. An offer that repeats the press release back to a founder is worse than no offer.
- 3
Press I can help
It is on every Move, every Opportunity and every company room. Choose how you can help: advice, an introduction, a service, talent, a partnership, or relevant experience. If the company has declined that kind of approach, you will not be offered it.
- 4
Write one specific sentence
The form gives you 300 characters on purpose. One sentence about what you have already done beats a paragraph about what you offer. "I took two payments firms through FCA authorisation and can tell you where the six months go" beats "we are a leading consultancy in the regulatory space".
- 5
Send it, and understand where it goes
Your offer is held privately for that company. It is never published, nobody else can read it, and it does not create a connection. If the company has not joined AfterRaise yet, we hold it and invite them to read it. Only the number of offers held is ever public, never a word of the content.
- 6
Turn it into a passport
After you send, you are offered a passport prefilled with what you just wrote. An Opportunity Passport records the problems you solve and the evidence you have solved them, so work finds you instead of you going looking. It is optional, and browsing is never walled.
Still deciding
See it working before you join.
The worked example shows the whole network full, on companies that are openly invented and say so. Everything on the live site is real.
