Terms and data rights
Read it, cite it, link to it. Do not copy the database.
AfterRaise is a collated, verified and daily-updated database of disclosed funding rounds, the companies behind them and the investors named in each announcement. The facts are public. The collation is ours.
Where the facts come from
Every funding fact on this site is read from a public announcement, and every row links to the announcement it came from. Amounts announced in other currencies are converted with European Central Bank reference rates for the announcement date. A fact a publisher printed belongs to no one, and we credit the source on the page where the fact appears.
What is ours
The database as a whole: which rounds are included and which are not, the daily verification against the source, the company and investor records built from thousands of separate announcements, the sector classification, the investor index that groups spellings into one firm, the derived signals marked "AfterRaise intelligence", and the way all of it is arranged and presented. Database right and copyright in that selection, verification, arrangement and presentation belong to Eternal Raine Ltd (company number 16505815), which operates AfterRaise as part of Shika Group (England and Wales), 2026. Facts a company tells us directly are held privately and are never part of the public database unless the company chooses to publish them.
What you may do
- Read any page, as often as you like.
- Quote individual facts, with a link to the AfterRaise page or the source.
- Share links to any page, anywhere.
- Cite AfterRaise in articles, research, newsletters and AI answers, with attribution to afterraise.com.
- Crawl the site as a search engine or an AI answer engine, within the rules in our robots.txt, which welcomes them by name.
What you may not do without a written licence
- Extract or copy all or a substantial part of the database, by any means, automated or manual.
- Republish the database, the company records or the investor index, in whole or in substantial part, on another site, in a product, in a dataset or in a model training corpus presented as your own.
- Build a competing database from AfterRaise pages rather than from the public sources those pages credit.
- Sell, sublicense or redistribute AfterRaise data.
- Remove or obscure attribution to AfterRaise or to a cited source.
Automated access that ignores robots.txt, or that requests pages at a rate no reader would, may be blocked without notice. Licences for research, journalism and commercial use are available: write to info@afterraise.com.
Asking to represent a company
When you apply for administrator access to a company page you are telling us you are authorised to act for that company. That is a statement we rely on. We verify before we activate: a work email at the company confirmed by a code, your job title, your LinkedIn profile, and a person reading all of it together. We may refuse a request, ask for more, or withdraw access later if the position turns out to be different from what was described.
Applying first gives you no claim. Somebody else applying for your company does not take anything from you, and being early does not bypass verification. A company can have more than one verified representative, and any of them can ask us to remove theirs at any time.
What you tell us your company needs
What you submit stays yours. You choose who sees it: published on your company page, shown to people across the AfterRaise network who may be able to help, or private with introductions only. We act on the choice you made and nothing is published because you did not read a default. You can change that choice, or withdraw what you told us, by writing to info@afterraise.com. Introductions are never guaranteed and are never sold: no company can pay to be surfaced ahead of another.
The Founding 1,000
The first 1,000 companies we verify join the founding cohort and keep Founding Company status permanently, at no cost. Applying does not reserve a place; verification is what activates one. We may close the programme to new applicants, or change what is offered to companies joining later. That does not take anything away from a company already verified into the cohort. Future products may be offered separately and are not part of what founding membership includes.
Since 21 September 2026 AfterRaise no longer promotes this programme publicly. Status already granted, and applications already made, are not affected by that change; they are reviewed on the terms above.
Accuracy, corrections and removal
We verify against the source daily and label anything we derived rather than read. Even so, an announcement can be wrong and a parser can misread one. If a figure about your company is wrong, tell us and we will correct it against the source. If you are named on a page and want the record reviewed, write to info@afterraise.com. The database is provided as is, for information, and is not investment, legal or professional advice.
Privacy and law
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy notice. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Where the database is accessed from the European Union, the database right under Directive 96/9/EC applies alongside the equivalent UK right.
